I love finding the written word in public places. If you’ve been on Wellington’s waterfront in the last few years, you’ll know there are strategically placed excerpts from poems, printed in raised type on big concrete slabs, or on the wooden beams of a pedestrian bridge. It’s a great touch for a city, an encouragement to stop and look, rather than simply walk.
