ECan to consider parking MyWay bus service
The future of Timaru’s on-demand bus service rests with ratepayer support and a decision on which budget option Environment Canterbury chooses. The public transport service, which has replaced most of the town's bus runs, appears to need Timaru District ratepayer support for a targeted rate to keep running after its trial period ends under one of two funding options the regional council will debate in its draft Long Term Plan in Christchurch on Thursday. The first option, which proposes rates to rise in some areas as high as 24 per cent , includes the retention of the MyWay service. The second option, which proposes a 19 per cent rates increase , has "no provision" to keep the MyWay service, according ECan's consultation document. Hajj: Sultan tasks NAHCON on service delivery

He also charged the commission to be self reliant by trying to keep away from government funding. Abubakar III, who is also the President-General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), gave the task when he visited the Executive Chairman of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, on Wednesday in Abuja.
