The Renault Kiger compact-SUV offering retails at a starting price of a little below Rs 6 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). Now, almost a month after its launch, the company has revealed that they have registered 3,226 units of compact-SUV during the month of February 2021. The Renault Kiger has managed to receive a good response in the market, especially considering the demand and level of competition in the segment it is positioned. At the end of February 2021, the Renault Kiger has already managed to slot itself as the fifth best-selling compact-SUV in the Indian market. Home appliances clock decade best sales in India in July-Dec 2020: GfK India
Consumer electronics industry logged in decade high sales between July-December in home appliances and one of the highest ever in the Diwali quarter, reveals just released data from market researcher GfK India which is the only agency that tracks actual sales. Sales of air-conditioners grew by 25%, refrigerators by 15%, microwave ovens by 39% and washing machines by 24% by the number of units sold in both retail stores and online since India unlocked in the second half of last calendar year boosted by record Diwali sales. In fact, GfK data shows a bigger surge in volume sales for the October-December festive quarter – AC and microwave ovens grew by 49%, refrigerators by 25% and washing machines by 31%. For television, the sales shot up by 8%. While smartphone sales volume was affected in the second half of last year due to massive supply issues, yet it reported the highest value growth since 2011 as per GfK. E-mobility startup eyes raising Rs 5 crore; Its sales double amid pandemic
Ahmedabad: As people in Ahmedabad and other parts of the country became more health-conscious after the outbreak of Covid-19 , the idea of cycling either for leisure, exercise, or even the short-distance commute has appealed to many. With the demand for bicycles growing, Ahmedabad-based e-mobility startup, LightSpeed Mobility Private Limited, which manufactures electric bicycles, saw its sales volumes double since the pandemic struck. “We used to sell some 1,000 electric bicycles before the pandemic. However, the upsurge in demand following the pandemic helped us sell our entire inventory in June, July and August. The sales growth in those months was at least 200%. High school students summoned for violating emergency decree after joining banned protest
High school students in Bangkok are being summoned for violating the emergency decree after police found they had joined the banned anti-government protests last month. The 2 teens spoke at a rally on October 15, a day after PM Prayut announced that tougher actions would be taken against protesters.
