Industrialist groups spar over its registration as public trust; HC sends them to Charity Commissioner A power struggle has broken out between two groups of industrialists of the city over control of Society for Clean Earth at Vatva GIDC. One group wants to register the society under the public trust Act so that elections can be held and office bearers are elected democratically, while the other group says that the society does not do charitable activities and therefore it cannot be registered as the public trust. The dispute has gone through several legal forums before landing in the Gujarat High Court , which has asked both the parties to appear before the charity commissioner and put forth their submission to support their claims. Realme rolls out Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 update to Narzo 20 Pro

Realme has started rolling out Realme UI 2.0 update for Narzo 20 Pro users in India. Realme UI 2.0 is based on Android 11 operating system. To upgrade, the phone’s firmware version must be updated to A.25 (RMX2193_11.A.25). The rollout was announced by the company via a post on the microblogging site Twitter. It will be released in batches and will soon be available for few users initially. It will have a broader rollout in the coming days. Changelog with the update includes added shortcuts to the camera app to instantly edit and share photos. It also brings the “Sound amplifier" feature to the device amplify faint sounds in the environment and soften loud sounds when wearing earphones. The update also adds Sleep Capsule which will enable Narzo 20 Pro users to schedule downtime and secure sleep time. Rally to go ahead whilst Thammasat lock their gates to keep the protesters out

Heading into today’s protest at Thammasat University in Bangkok, a spokesperson for the organisers says the thorny issue of the reform of the Thai monarchy will be on the agenda. A 10 point manifesto was prepared and originally announced as part of an August 10 rally, not a large rally at the time but memorable for the public utterance of issues regarding the Thai Head of State, previously a taboo topic in a public forum. In lead up to the start of today’s protest, expected to draw a large crowd, Panasaya Sitthichirawattanakul, one of the organisers from the Thammasat Alliance group, says that the Thai monarchy will again” definitely be raised” at the University’s Tha Prachan campus. Govt lines up digital hub

Digital Economy and Society Minister Buddhipongse Punnakanta opens the Bangkok Post's '5G: The Game Changer' conference at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld. (Photo by Pattarapong Chatpattarasill) The government is pinning its hopes on two major projects to achieve its goal of becoming a digital hub in Asean. A Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite business is being funded through an amendment to the Space Affairs Act and the country is expanding its submarine cable capacity to make it more efficient for Thais to access digital infrastructure at an affordable price, says Digital Economy and Society (DES) Minister Buddhipongse Punnakanta. He told the Bangkok Post's "5G: The Game Changer" forum on Thursday that LEO satellites operate between 500- 2,000 kilometres above the Earth's surface compared to the 36,000km height of so-called geostationary satellites, the traditional types of communications satellites.
